    Responsible for executing strategic and transformational projects aimed at achieving the strategic goals and objectives of the City of Vaughan; develops and maintains the Cityís framework for continuous improvement; collaborates with staff to identify, analyze, prioritize, develop, implement and track opportunities to transform the business using innovative ideas, process improvement and by leveraging technology; provides expertise in process design, enterprise level integration of business processes, identifying technology solutions, managing risks and enhancing customer experience to drive innovation for the corporation; project management and change management while implementing innovation and process improvement initiatives; liaises with other municipalities and organizations to identify trends in business transformation that impact the change levers of people, process and technology; implements process improvement and technology deployment strategies aligned with the Corporationís strategic vision, direction and Service Excellence priorities. Projects will include, but are not limited to: business process reviews and analysis, technology enhancements, electronic service delivery, implementation of regulatory changes. and change management of business processes.

    Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Development Approvals, you will process – to approval – development applications pertaining to municipal servicing matters and undertake engineering analyses required due to development activity. More specifically, you will review and comment on development applications daily, as well as review and approve engineering drawings and site servicing plans for sewer and water capacity, stormwater management, shoring and tiebacks drawings and for servicing permit issuance. As a Development Coordinator, you will also be expected to prepare municipal servicing agreements, and present results in written and verbal formats to City staff, elected officials, and the public.

    Reporting to the Manager of Design and Construction in Engineering Services, the Design Engineer- Linear is responsible to manage a variety of small to large multi-disciplined capital projects from budget estimates, planning, procurement, environmental assessments, design and construction through to completion. The Design Engineer facilitates the project management of capital projects primarily in roads, water, sanitary and storm linear municipal infrastructure projects with effective leadership working with a diverse team of professionals.

    Reporting to the Manager, Capital Projects, the Clerk, Water Meter Program is responsible for administration related to the implementation of the Water Meter Replacement Program (WMRP). The Clerk will acquire or verify information from existing accounts, assist in developing a replacement database, track work orders and water meter inventory, liaise with contractors and verify work order status and work billings, attend project management meetings and enter data into MS Dynamics/Great Plains accounting software. This position will also support the broader administrative needs of the Capital Projects and Public Works team as required.
