MEA Executive Director Announcement

The MEA is pleased to announce that Reg Russwurm, P.Eng., MBA, will be taking on the role as its Executive Director later this June. Our current Executive Director, Dan Cozzi, P. Eng., who has held this role for the last 8 years, will be retiring at the end of June of this year. 
Reg brings a wealth of municipal engineering experience/leadership to the role. He received his engineering degree at the University of Waterloo and followed up with a master’s in business administration at Wilfred Laurier University.
Reg’s municipal career included working with Stantec (Project Engineer), City of Kitchener (Utilities Engineer), Region of Waterloo (Senior Planning Engineer), The Town of the Blue Mountains (Director of Infrastructure & Public Works. Most recently, Reg has held the position of Manager of Design and Construction in Engineering and Transportation Services at the City of Guelph. He will be retiring from this position on May 28.
Reg served on the MEA Board of Directors from 2010 to 2017 and is a Past MEA President, (serving as President in 2016). Reg is also an MEA Award recipient (2020). In addition, he is a Past President of the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA).
